ABOUT

Welcome!

At Tech Scholars, we understand the challenges modern parents face. You want your child to be prepared for a future driven by technology—one where skills in AI, programming, and innovation can lead to exciting opportunities, financial security, and leadership roles. But with so much information out there, it can feel overwhelming to know where to start. That’s where we come in.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire young minds to innovate a future of ethical and humanitarian technology.

In today’s competitive world, falling behind in technology can mean missed opportunities. Without these essential skills, your child risks being unprepared for an AI-dominated job market.

We want to reduce the barrier to entry for learning technology and equip the next generation with the skills and attitude they need to thrive in a technologically-driven world. We blend fun, creativity, and real-world application to help your child discover their passion for technology and unlock their potential.

Our Process

Our teaching philosophy is underpinned by the constant pursuit of excellence. To boost your child’s chance of success and enjoyment from the courses:

  • We show genuine care for your child’s learning.
  • Guide each student by a knowledgeable, passionate, and experienced mentor.
  • Offer a tangible project each student can showcase in their portfolio for every course.
  • Teach from a well-crafted and future-ready curriculum.

The Founder

I’m Patrick Browne, Founder of Tech Scholars. I am studying for a Bachelor of Advanced Computing (Computational Data Science) and Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) (Honours) at the University of Sydney (USYD).

My journey with technology began when I was 10 years old when I was given a programming textbook for Christmas. All I remember were massive blocks of text and dull images of spirals. I was so bored by it that I couldn’t make it past the first few pages! It was in the subsequent years, when I discovered the creativity and power that technology could unlock, that I began to love it. Now, I want to share the same enthusiasm and skills that captivated me with other capable students.

I am actively involved in projects and studies that expand my skill set. I:

  • Co-authored an internationally accepted AI Paper at the International Population Data Linkage Network Conference.
  • Was awarded the National University of Singapore’s Young Fellowship Programme Scholarship. I was privileged enough to be invited as a second-year student to Asia’s #1 University despite requirements stating minimum third-year requirement.
  • Achieved a 99+ ATAR as an all-rounder student in my HSC in 2022.
  • Achieved a 97/100 HSC mark for Software Design and Development (1st in the state in several years, e.g., 2016).
  • Completed a wide range of cutting-edge research at the USYD’s Faculty of Medicine and Health.
  • Actively engage and share research among postdoctoral researchers and PhD students in the Biomedical Informatics and Digital Health (BIDH) Research Clinic and Natural Language Processing Group at USYD.
  • Am considered a Dalyell Scholar for 80+ Weighted Average Mark (WAM) at the university.
  • Have been exposed to a variety of niche programming languages and packages, including Blockchain languages and AI tools.
  • Possess experience teaching classes of young students in programming, robotics, and science subjects.
  • Am experienced in tutoring individuals for HSC content.

I want to help students share the same excitement for endless possibilities for innovation and share all the secrets I have learned along the way with you!
